Why Union?

Union representation gives MFLCs a stronger voice on the job and the ability to negotiate for meaningful improvements. With a union, MFLCs can secure legally binding agreements that guarantee better working conditions and reflect the value of our service to military families.

The IAM currently represents over 250 MFLCs in Washington and Colorado who have already won strong contracts. These agreements include:

  • Guaranteed annual wage increases
  • Premium pay for additional responsibilities or shifts
  • Additional paid time off
  • Improved healthcare benefits and coverage

By joining together, MFLCs can ensure our work is respected, our compensation is competitive, and our wellbeing is protected—so you can continue to provide the highest level of care to those who serve.
